I took my first (!) trip to this popular vacation destination on the tip of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula. Here are all my top recs for eating, drinking, exploring, and more.
Whidbey has always been one of my favorite spots in Washington state. I love the ferry ride, I love being on the water, I love wine tasting, I love mussels.
Three days of exploration and tasting wasn’t nearly enough – we only experienced the tip of the enormous iceberg that is California wine country – but I sipped enough to have some opinions and recommendations!
Planning on enjoying some scorching desert splendor in Scottsdale? Let’s be honest, we chose this location because all we really wanted to do for two days was lounge by a posh pool and sip on tropical cocktails. Mission: accomplished!
Nestled on the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula, Cabo San Lucas is an iconic resort city famous for its beaches and nightlife. I went for the first time in December 2021 - here’s where I recommend eating & drinking!
Water Island isn’t as famous as St. Croix, St. Thomas, and St. John. It’s the tiniest island in the USVI and it’s generally more of a residential island. The obvious upside of the lack of development? Glorious, pristine white sand beaches!
Do I recommend staying in St. Thomas? ABSOLUTELY. The Virgin Islands are the perfect mix of relaxation and activity, and just a hop, skip, & a jump away from Florida so it’s an easy trip that feels a world away.
There are many British Virgin Islands to explore – the main ones are Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Anegada, and Jost Van Dyke, but overall BVI is comprised of over 50. So much paradise, so little time!
WHEN i’m not traveling, i’m probably cooking/eating…
All the meaty, cabbage-y, umami flavors of a delicious eggroll, but… you guessed it… in a bowl! It’s packed with protein, fiber, and lots of vegetables, and the sauce incorporates all our favorite takeout flavors.

Orcas Island is the largest of the San Juan islands and a beloved destination for soaking in the natural beauty of the Northwest. One of my favorite local spots for a summertime weekend getaway!
